I began my professional career working on the design of industrial machines reaching the position of Product Manager and leading a team of seven people.
After that, I’ve been involved in the design and development of international projects related
to industrial automation and material handling, reaching the position of Mechanical Project Leader.
Actually I’m instead working as Engineering Manager, leading and monitoring a direct team of engineers that work on projects execution according to budget and schedule.
There are a lot of possibilities, but probably the best one is to consider that every product borns with thei aim to satisfy a need, so: does your product reflect a need? If yes, for this "need" you would begin to list all the characteristics should have the product to satisfy it, how? Interviewing people, random people, questioning them about the "need" and how in your opinions it should be satisfied
