Questions

How can I build a successful Cloud services business?

I would be starting from nothing and wanting to grow it to be $100M after 7 to 8 years. Many investors are interested in this idea, and some technical people are as well interested. However, do we need 2 technical and 1 sales employees to start? I live in Dubai and have access to different markets across the middle east. Do I make partnerships with Azure/AWS/local cloud providers? What is the best approach?

Yeah you can start with a little team and then expand to bigger one. Double the tech support people every time your customer base gets doubled and increment sales people as needed. The reason why I am saying doubling the tech support people is because the technical support is one of the top reasons a hosting company is selected by the customer. No matter what kind of services you provide, if your tech support is weak then people will switch to another immediately.

I can't tell you much here as these strategies are part of my own business model. But if you could give me a call then we can discuss it further.

No requirement to make partnerships with Cloud Providers. These companies simply provide infrastructure/hosting services.

This said, in most cases dedicated servers are cheaper + faster than Cloud Hosting.

Clarify your question by defining your service + likely people can provide assistance, both with technical design + marketing.
