Questions

Can I have anyone give feedback on our site, FreeeUp.com?

I started FreeeUp.com 6 months ago as the hands on approach to outsourcing. I would love some outside opinions on ways to improve the site.

Some quick suggestions/impressions:

One of the first things I would look at is the site loading speed. It took a full 3 seconds for anything on the page to render for me - and that is longer than most people are willing to wait. According to Pingdom (http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/ee2ouY/freeeup.com), it takes over 7 seconds for your page to render even though it is only 1.3mb. Your sever response time is pretty slow, so if you are on a cheap shared account at Bluehost you may want to consider bumping that up to a more robust account, or a better host all together. Google uses speed as a ranking factor now, so this is an important one.

Next, I would work on more of a 'wow' factor on the home page. Get some 'lifestyle' images and create a professional hero image that engages the potential client. The icons and gradient background image just isn't cutting it. Spend a couple hundred bucks on a graphic designer to create these for you if you don't have the resources in-house.

Your video is shaky and not really professional looking, which is hurting the impression people get of your company (at least it would for me). You don't really want your couch, wine bottles and peanut cans in your professional videos. Hire a professional to film them for you, or invest in some tools (cheap on Amazon) such as a background, tripod, lavalier mic and lighting. You can get a pretty good setup using your phone for under $250, which is money well spent if that is the first thing people look at on your site. Use software like Camtasia to edit and enhance the videos with your logo, intros, etc. If video is going to be a big part of your marketing, it needs to be done right.

Question - why the extra 'e' in the domain? That is going to confuse people - especially if the domain without the extra e leads somewhere else.

Your site is definitely providing a service that's needed. Here are some comments from a quick review:

Page: Main page (http://freeeup.com/)
1) Change the negative and drawn-out "Never take a step backwards" to a positive "We fill in the gaps"
2) Use "Try out one of" Instead of "Train with one of" ("Train with" is confusing)
3) In the "Strong Communication" bullet point, list the variety of well known communication tools that your workers will generally know how to use (e.g. Trello, etc). Seeing trusted brand names on your website will increase trust and reassure potential clients that you know about the tools they'd want to use.
4) Add a prominent plot of how many hours the average client saves in the hiring process when they use your service (To easily get this value, you could just use the amount of vetting time you guys invest per person, or get the value from client questionnaires). If you can get a decent estimate of $ saved per hire too that would be powerful.

Add a photo for each review if possible in the "listen to what others are saying" section (or add a generic silhouette outline for people you don't have photos of. Otherwise it takes a second to mentally check that the lower reviews don't also belong to the top people.

You don't have "developer" in the skills you list. Is that too volatile and hard-to-vet of a skill for this early stage? It's one that would be in highest demand, at least for early stage startups.

If you'd like to discuss any other aspects of how to best get things rolling let me know. I actually work with a lot of people that outsource to freelancers all the time,

best,

Lee

I am very blunt and don't like to sugarcoat when critiquing UI and I believe that's the only way u will benefit. You seriously need a top to bottom redesign if you want Higher Conversion and I am open to give free advice. DM me and we can schedule a 30mins or so free call and u can really make a big difference.
