Questions

Look at how people are actually buying today. How are YOU buying an item like a $500 camera? Talk yourself through the process.

Do you receive a direct response piece in the mail, read it and take action?

I doubt it.

Look at the interaction between discovering want/need, branding, testimonials, video, authority and more that is really going on in selling today.

Find an example of a mid-ticket item in your own life and talk yourself through the process of how you bought it. Where did you go? What information sources did you interact with? How did you determine the validity of those information sources?

Things have changed a lot in the past decade, and they're continuing to change more. Human nature is still the same, of course; but, the way people go about making buying decisions has altered...and a lot of that has to do with the technology available.
