Questions

I do 2 completely different things in business: weight loss and SEO/Marketing consulting. Should I keep 2 separate FB pages or combine all into 1?

I currently have separate websites and Facebook pages for each business but I'd sure love to combine them, but only if it would work. I want to have 1 hub that is everything I do, but not sure if I should or if I should keep them separate on Facebook.

Unless they are in some way related ie seo clients are weight loss focused you should keep two.

A few ideas here:

Most people will tell you to have two separate pages, but before you jump into running and managing two Facebook pages, consider your role in these ventures.

Are you a solo-preneur? Is one business stronger than the other? Do you have a team or are you managing everything yourself?

And lastly, what is your ultimate goal? More publicity? More clients?

Answering those questions will help you identify if you even need two Facebook pages.

Now let's assume that you do... should the be separate?

Yes, unless you are really just selling yourself and these are seen as interesting hobbies or interests that you share with people and you ultimately direct them to other sites.

But like I said, I'm more interested in knowing if you really need two Facebook pages at all and I'm betting you probably don't.

Happy to jump on a call and discuss further.

Hi there,
Very simple answer. Yes off course you should keep two separate blogs/facebook pages/websites for each niche.

But a great idea would be to keep both facebook pages separate and have another 3rd facebook page or group for to combine these two subjects. But make sure you submit such a content that is some how common or feels common in both of your businesses. That page or group will definitely enhance your both subjects/businesses. Try to add some interesting and funny content. People love to share with their friend with this is something interesting and funny. Hence this way your both websites will be promoted along with the shared content.

If this new 3rd Common page goes good, then you can stop perusing your previous 2 pages and focus on this SINGLE page. But more is better, you can maintain 3 pages and get multiple benefits. But all depends on your time and availability.

You can also hire somebody else for this work.

Each business is unique and will target different consumers. Cost of maintaining each page is minimal. Also promoting to services on one page will confuse your customers. Feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss a strategy to reach more customers!
