I would like to know what strategies would help me create a monthly revenue stream for a spiritual blog. I will do general motivation (like Brendon Burchard or Tiny Buddha). Creating a passive stream is something important for me to get some form of predictability in finances.
You can use affiliate marketing for this. ClickBank.com has lots of spirituality related products that will be great for advertising on this kind of niche. Generate link for those products from ClickBank, add banners or in-text links for these product and bring a lot of traffic. You can earn about 75% of the sale of these products from your affiliate links. Second option is infolinks.com. They pay very less but their presentation of ads is very great as compared to Google Adwords.

1) Create content + run Adsense + other Ad Networks on site.
2) Tiny Buddha model - Create books + sell on Amazon.
3) Tiny Buddha V2 model - Create books + sell through Traffic Oxygen. You'll likely reach far more people while keeping your sales process simple.
4) Adsense V2 model - Run Adsense on your site for a month + buy traffic from OutBrain.
After a month, visit whatever page has most traffic + hit Shift + Reload in your browser on this page. Notice the Ad pattern. Likely some Ad will show more frequently than others.
Whatever Ad serves most, is Ad which is working best. This will tell you what site (source of Ad is working best).
Visit the actual site (Ad source) + replace Adsense on your reloaded page with actual site's affiliate offer. Likely your payout will be far more than what Google/Adsense pays.
If Ad source site has no affiliate program, ask them to start one or pitch them for you to be their affiliate manager.
Summary: Start by selling OPP (other people's product), them move on to sell your product (books, coaching, expos, etc.) or service or information.
Create some "premium" content that only subscribers will be able to view. That will keep people interested in subscribing and staying subscribed if your content is good. Make sure it's really giving them a lot of value. And make sure to promote it and "tease" it to the general (non-subscription) readers as well. Like, let them see the titles of the posts but not the content itself.
You can create a podcast or webcast and either share tips or do industry influencer interviews. This will increase your subscribers and you can then seek sponsors for your show who are trying to reach your target market. The sponsors are given a place to either put a small banner on your site with CPC or you can mention your sponsors during your web/podcast which creates an evergreen effect. For this you charge a monthly flat fee.
Check out HelloMogo at https://mogoagency.com/ministry or https://mogoagency.com/coach as they have a great system for creating, managing and selling your own online courses, blogs, or workbooks. I'd be happy to introduce you to the CEO, Jake Press, that I have worked with as well to speak to you directly.
As far as creating a "passive stream" goes, some of the other answers are very good. Affiliate marketing, premium content, etc. can certainly help you to do that.
However, if you really want to take it to the next level, I think you are in a position to forego the "passive" thing and put in a reasonable amount of work to make some real money.
I am talking about becoming a coach or guide.
Call it what you want: life coach, spiritual adviser, etc. Work out a system so that you can consult with people on a regular basis, focusing on the spiritual truths communicated in your blog, and help them to achieve their goals in life. Charge $15,000 to $25,000 per year. Take on dozens of clients. That may sound like a lot, but if you can help people to completely revitalize their lives, it is peanuts.
