Questions

What are the best Wordpress themes to use for an expert platform like Clarity? Any other examples of expert platforms that are succesful?

I would like to build a very niche expert platform for the Spain & Latin market and am trying to see what theme would allow for voice but also text questions to be asked, all pre-paid. Many thanks in advance.

Well first, it's important to point out that this is not a Wordpress site. It's a web application or SaaS. Perhaps it was built with Ruby, Python, or it could be using other JS frameworks/languages. There are many reason why you would not use WP for a site like this, one of those reasons is: Scale. WP sites do not scale well. I would start there. I would research building a web app vs. Wordpress. You will find much insight in regards to scale. This is a great article to introduce you to WP scale and what issues you may run into: https://tommcfarlin.com/scaling-wordpress/

If you want to rank higher in google - get the fastest one! My suggestion is the most popular theme ever, it's OceanWP + Elementor plugin.

You are on the right track. It's not what theme, what plugin. That is the key.

You can use a free plugin like BuddyPress to give WordPress social media/profile-esque functionality. I would look into getting that plugin modified to do what you want. You may be able to get it close to what you want with enough tinkering without having to dish out some money for a developer.

You could most likely integrate a payment gateway with BuddyPress to achieve something functional.

There are a lot of themes that you can use for an expert booking platform. To do an automatic install of WooCommerce Marketplace, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu, and click Add New. In the search field type “WooCommerce Multivendor Marketplace” and click Search Plugins.

If you are interested to create the expert platform for booking using Wordpress, you can refer to my blog https://techwink.net/blog/create-a-multi-vendor-marketplace-using-wordpress/

The best free theme is Astra along with Elementor page builder. However, you must use a couple of plugins to add custom functionality to your website.

This is an old question that needs a refresher for 2023.

You can build pretty much ANYTHING on WordPress and the theme is just the look of the website even though it MIGHT determine how some functionality is going to be developed.

It sounds like there is going to be some digging to find plugins that provide the functionality you are looking for OR they need to be custom-developed: either way WordPress offers what you seek.

In 2023 we have several theming platforms available for WordPress. LONG gone are the days of getting a theme and only sticking to what it offered! I have tried more than a few over the years and the BEST is Elementor: https://elementor.com/.

If you are reading this answer in 2023 and are interested in exploring what to do to get your new brand or company started, give me a call to help you see what options you have!

There are many WordPress themes that can be suitable for an expert platform like Clarity, depending on your specific needs and preferences. Here are a few popular options:

Expertly: This theme is specifically designed for expert platforms and features a customizable homepage, expert profiles, and integration with popular plugins such as WooCommerce and BuddyPress.

Divi: Divi is a versatile theme that can be customized to create a range of websites, including expert platforms. It features a drag-and-drop builder and a variety of pre-built templates.

Consulting: Consulting is a professional theme that is designed for consultants, coaches, and other experts. It features customizable pages and templates, as well as integration with popular plugins such as Contact Form 7 and Yoast SEO.

As for examples of successful expert platforms, in addition to Clarity, some other examples include:

UpCounsel: UpCounsel is a platform that connects businesses with freelance lawyers. It offers a range of legal services, including contracts, employment law, and intellectual property.

Toptal: Toptal is a platform that connects businesses with top freelance developers, designers, and finance experts. It features a rigorous screening process to ensure that only the top 3% of applicants are accepted.

Thumbtack: Thumbtack is a platform that connects consumers with local service providers, including home repair, personal trainers, and event planners.

These platforms have been successful in part because they offer a valuable service that meets a specific need, and they provide a user-friendly platform for connecting experts with clients.

Here are a few themes that can help to built a niche expert platform with voice and text questions:
1)BuddyPress: It's not a theme but a plugin that allows you to create a social networking platform on WordPress. Here you can enable voice and text-based communication for questions and answers.
2)ExpertMile: It is a WordPress theme specifically designed for expert consultation platforms. While it doesn't have voice-specific functionalities , you can potentially integrate voice capabilities through third-party plugins.
3)JustAnswer: It is a successful expert platform where users can ask questions and get answers from verified experts.
Remember that while selecting a theme, you may need to combine it with various plugins such as voice and text-based question capabilities.
